Dolly Goyal is the founder and director of Steps For Dancing ( www.stepsfordancing.org ), a dance school in Houston which provides quality education and training in Indian classical dance style called KATHAK. The school caters to different age groups and level of dance enthusiasts, from beginners to advanced learners. Dolly Goyal, a passionate Kathak dancer and teacher who wanted to share her love for Indian culture and art with the community, founded the school in 2018, in order to promote cultural awareness and appreciation among the diverse population of Houston, Pearland & Katy. Apart from her passion for teaching the authentic knowledge of the subject, her group lessons help students build love, respect, confidence via professional guidance to express through dance. Steps For Dancing trains students for internationally recognized dance certifications in the field of classical dance Kathak. Sri Yudhisthir Nayak is a very well-known Odissi dancer and Guru from Bhubaneswar, India. He won the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan National Young Dancer award. He was initiated to Gotipua dance at the age of seven. He continued learning the same form till the age of twelve. He started learning Odissi from Guru Bichitrananda Swain at the age of fifteen, under the direct guidance of Guru Gangadhar Pradhan, the Founder of Orissa Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. He is a rare breed of Odissi dancer who has been trained in Odissi vocal as well as in Odissi Mardala. This makes him a well rounded Odissi artist. Yudhisthir has also been trained in Chhau dance style, warrior dance school of Mayurbhanj. His perfection of the art of Odissi dance, through supple and graceful body postures (mudra) and movements with varied facial expressions (abhinaya), has won him recognition. Yudhisthir has performed extensively in India and abroad. Besides being the recipient of a Senior National Scholarship from the Ministry of HRD, India he has carved a space for himself in the USA as a Odissi Dancer and teacher. He has mesmerized his students and audience alike in San Diego and Houston during his time as Odissi instructor in the US. His dream is to propagate and popularize Odissi in its true form across the world. Nicknamed as Yuji, this humble yet brilliant dancer known for his power-packed presentations had the privilege of working with renowned American pop singer Ricky Martin and of working as a choreographer for a Hollywood movie depicting the life of an Asian dancer apart from performing across America, Canada, Germany, Italy, UK, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia and Singapore.
